Case Study: Increasing pet food bags per skid with anti-slip sheet

Opportunity: A pet food manufacturer was looking for cost reduction opportunities. His packaging is plastic bags weighing 16 lbs. Bags have the highest to be obtained for the outer ply. The manufacturer was only able to get 5 layers per pallet and couldn't double stack skids. They wanted to palletize 11 tiers per skid.

Solution: CGP EXPAL INC supplies the anti-skid STABULON 110. As very flexible sheets that take on the exact shape of the bags, STABULON 110 increased interlocking between bags and stopped from them from sliding.

Results: The pet food manufacturer not only achieved its goal of getting 11 layers a skid, they also were able to make savings on strech wrap.
